Fireflies is built for sales teams who need every conversation pushed into Salesforce or HubSpot automatically. It does that well. It also sends a bot into every call to do it.
Short answer: if your job is running a sales pipeline and you need every call logged into a CRM without touching it, Fireflies is built for exactly that and Jotted is not. If you are not running a CRM, most of the price is buying you plumbing you will never connect.
Jotted's trade is different: no bot in the call, the full video kept, unlimited recording on the free plan, and a transcript that runs on your own machine.
It is in the participant list, on every call, and by default it joins automatically unless you turn that off.
You get a searchable transcript and a summary. What you do not get is the recording of what was actually on screen.
Most of what you are paying for is integration into tools a freelancer or small consultancy does not run.

Fireflies is clearly the better choice for a sales team. Automatic CRM logging, broad integrations, and search across a whole team's meetings are real advantages, and Jotted does not attempt any of them.
It also supports a much wider set of languages than most tools in this category, which matters if your calls are not in English.
Two things about the price. It starts at $18 per seat a month against Jotted's $14, and the AI features are metered with credits rather than simply included, so heavy use of the assistant is a separate consideration. Jotted does not meter anything a normal user will notice.
Fireflies has the broadest integration list in the category. Salesforce, HubSpot, dozens of others. If your team lives inside a CRM and the pain is that nobody logs their calls, that is a genuine problem solved.
Two things make it a poor fit for client-facing solo work. The bot is one. It joins as a visible participant and, by default, joins automatically, which means it can turn up in a call you did not intend to record until you go and change the setting.
The other is that it is fundamentally a transcript tool. On a discovery call where you walked someone through a proposal on screen, the transcript captures the conversation and loses the artifact.
Jotted has no integrations at all, and that is deliberate. It records the meeting from your desktop, keeps the video, writes the notes, and lets you share any of it with a link. If you later need it in a CRM, you paste it.
By default it joins calls on your calendar automatically as a visible participant, and you have to turn that off if you do not want it. Jotted only records when you press Record, and never joins anything.
It is built around transcripts and summaries rather than keeping the meeting recording itself. Jotted keeps the full video on every plan.
If the team needs CRM logging, no. If the team wants recordings, notes and a way to share a call with a client or a colleague, yes, and at $14 per person.
No. Free transcripts are generated on your own computer and saved on your disk, so there is no storage clock and nothing expires.
