This is the agreement between you and Jotted. It covers how the affiliate program works, how you get paid, and what you can and can't do. Please read it before you apply. When you check the box on the application form, you're agreeing to everything here.
You earn $2.80 a month for every customer you refer, for as long as they stay subscribed to Jotted. It's not a one-time payment. If someone you referred stays for ten months, that's $2.80 a month for all ten.
Earning starts when a customer you referred makes their first real payment, not during their free trial. If they never pay, there's nothing to earn on them.
Earning stops if that customer cancels or drops back to the free plan. If they subscribe again later, it starts again.
If a customer gets a refund or their payment is charged back, the matching commission is deducted from what you're owed. You don't keep commission on money that was returned.
We pay monthly, using the payout method you set up in your dashboard.
Keeping your payout details correct is up to you. If they're wrong, we can't pay you, and we're not responsible for payments that fail or go to the wrong place because your details were out of date.
You choose your own referral code. Once you choose it, it's permanent and can't be changed later. Pick something you're happy to use permanently.
You don't earn commission on your own account, or on any account that's really just you.
We can turn down any application, and we can suspend any affiliate, at any time, without notice, and without giving a reason.
If we suspend you, you stop earning from that point on. Anything already owed to you still gets paid.
The one exception: if we suspend you because the commission was earned dishonestly, such as fake signups or breaking the rules below, we may withhold it. That's not the normal case. Normally, you get what you earned.
You can stop being an affiliate whenever you want. Just tell us. Anything you've already earned still gets paid.
Once you stop, your existing referrals stop earning too. The commission is for keeping the customer with us, not a one-off fee for the introduction.
The program only works if you're straight with people. So:
No spam. No unsolicited email. No posting where it isn't wanted. No tricking or misleading anyone into clicking your link.
No bidding on our name. Don't run paid ads on "Jotted," our brand name, or anything close to it.
Don't misrepresent Jotted. Don't claim features we don't have. Don't make up pricing. Don't promise things we haven't said.
Don't speak for us. You're an affiliate, not an employee and not a spokesperson. Don't present yourself as either.
Your dashboard shows some information about the customers you referred, so you can check your earnings. This information is masked, and it is not yours to use.
You may not use it, share it, sell it, or contact these customers. It exists for one reason: so you can verify what you've earned. Nothing else.
We may update this agreement from time to time. If we do, we'll let you know.
